With More Than 25% Now Holding a Second Job, Why Not Consider Factoring?

Could this be why BLS jobs numbers are up? According to a recent poll from Freedom Economy Index, over half of employers say more than 25% of their employees also hold a second job outside their workplace.  More employees are now holding multiple jobs across different companies, according to recent data from  a survey of over 80,000 US small businesses conducted.  A lot of analysts are scratching their heads when the bureau of labor statistics comes out with these unexplainable elevated jobs numbers every month, and perhaps this gives us a good clue as to what’s really happening,” said RedBalloon CEO Andrew Crapuchettes.

Need a Second Job?  Make it a Home Business

There are now over 33.2 million small businesses in the United States and that number is growing every day.  In fact, every 12 seconds a new home-based businesses is start and as more and more people find they need a second income, more also become interested in starting their own businesses…a home-based business and which are now booming and here are some key statistics from BusinesDIT….

Consider Making That Second Job a Consulting Business

Even though the job market is witnessing a shift towards more flexible work-from-home options, there is an increasing inclination towards a move to self-employment. According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, 10% of American population considers self-employment to be their choice of career.  And with the growing inclination towards home-based businesses and the rise of entrepreneurial enterprises recently, more and more people are realizing the importance of investing in a more stress free lifesatyle.

Consulting is a fast growing option for home-business seekers.  Even if you don’t have any hardcore technical education you can still start a consulting business based upon anything you are good at or something you can readily learn.  This means that in order to start a consulting business at home, you only need to:

  1.  choose an area of expertise you are proficient at and…
  2. have a strong drive to provide that expertise to others willing to pay for.

A job in consulting is basically easy. All you have to do is to think about a specific problem that you can help other people solve.
