IACFB Essentials
As a new IACFB Member and Boot Camp / Magazine subscriber, this short article will help you get the most out of your association with IACFB and help you chart a course to success as a referrer or Sponsored Agent. One of your first benefits as a new member is downloading your Factoring 101 Broker’s Training Guide and setting up your Factoring 101 access to the Academy.
MEMBERSHIP 1: DETERMINE YOUR LEVEL OF INDUSTRY PARTICIPATION
At IACFB, there are four (4) levels of membership participation. Three use Boot Camp training and support; one uses full Academy training and support.
- REFERRERS: These are very part-time industry participants with no investment in equipment or marketing. Our Boot Camp supports our referrers.
- AGENTS: Agents operate almost identically as Referrers, except they are IACFB Subscribers. That means they are supplied with Academy training, a WordPress Landing Page and a complimentary listing on the Directory of American Factors and Lenders. Our Academy Training, magazine archived articles, and web page supports all Agents.
- SPONSORED AGENTS: Although usually part-time operators, Sponsored Agents are more formal in their work habits and have a home office, computer, full professional website, business cards, etc. Sponsored Agents enjoy a stand-alone DataMax factoring broker website, our Academy Factoring 101, Factoring 202 and Factoring 303 support, as well as our magazine’s archived premium content.
- FACTORING BROKERS & COMMERCIAL FINANCE CONSULTANTS: Usually full-time factoring brokers, they have a professional home office, computer, and often a laptop, a laser jet printer, and an expansive website with a very active blog. Our Online IACFB Academy (Factoring 101, 202, and 303) supports our Commercial Finance Consultants as well as a DataMax “SuperSite” for lead-generation and support.
At IACFB Agents, and Sponsored Agents are Network Subscribers. Factoring Brokers and Consultants are considered “Freelance” members. Members of the IACFB Network work with IACFB when submitting leads and deals, while freelance members work directly with industry factors and lenders.
